Our students have grown their skills by taking our courses. Here are just a few of their stories.

Green Home Consumer Lending

Being a single father of 3, during holiday, new to this position (but not the industry) and the relentless pursuit to loan 1 million out before 2025, these classes were a Godsend for me!! Cramming through everything over the past week allowed me to really see the benefits and impact this is going to have on my role as our consumer/comm loan program manager as well as leading the Solar For All II program. I will DEFINITELY be referring back to these materials over the years, as well some of my classmates to push the transition to clean energy here in Texas. If there any related continued education courses you all offer outside of this one, I would love to be a part. If these courses will be offered again, I honestly wouldn't mind tuning in 1 more for good measure!!

Clean Energy Fund of Texas

Green Home Consumer Lending

“…This class has opened up my eyes as to how we can serve our members so much more with Green Energy solutions without & with grant funds. I get it more than ever. I’m planning on sending two more team members to the next available sessions since this is not obligatory for us, we want to live this out in service to our members. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge & wisdom. You ARE making a difference.”

Commercial Solar Lending

"I enjoyed the breadth of knowledge and information from both Clay and Andrew. They offer a great balance of real world experience and academic knowledge. The state policy piece was a great feature as it taught added an additional level of diligence we should be conducting as lenders."

"I LOVE Eric Hangen and Jennifer O'Gorman! They are both phenomenal teachers! They really complement each other's personality and teaching style. They are a dynamic duo and I can't imagine better teachers - can you? They are very approachable, knowledgeable and have a lot to offer in the green lending space. They both are deeply passionate about all things green and it shows! It was extremely obvious that this is their passion. It made me want to learn more and really take this seriously because of them! I would suggest keeping them as teachers. Give them whatever they want/need to keep doing this - you've got an amazing find in the two of them! Great job and wonderful course! Highly recommended!"

Building & Managing Strong Financial Coaching Programs

“The training was really good. We were in the early stages of building our program, so it was incredibly valuable to learn from others who had already launched theirs — what worked for them, and what challenges they faced. Looking back, the training helped guide several key decisions about where to start and what we needed to prioritize. Now we’re at the point of figuring out how to scale the program.”

Building & Managing Strong Financial Coaching Programs

“I had all these ideas for a financial wellness plan, but no structure, flow, or consistency. The training helped me organize and make it understandable."

UP Arkansas FCU, AK

Building & Managing Strong Financial Coaching Programs

“Before the training, I didn’t know there was a difference between coaching and counseling — I thought they were just different names for the same thing. The training helped me really grasp what we were trying to do and the direction we wanted to go — and we have seen growth. The implementation plan was a great roadmap. It helped us identify our allies and internal champions, which made it easier to move quickly on ideas like the savings match program. We made changes like making appointments more accessible, which led to a 15–20% increase in utilization. It may sound small, but every person counts — if we can help one more person, that’s a win.”
